One hundred Tuesdays.. I can barely wrap my mind around that number. I remember sitting in my living room over two years ago, discussing the idea of creating a new blog series – my only real “series” at the time – and knowing that my best option was to just give voice to the overflow of random thoughts in my head. In November of 2009, Tidbit Tuesday was born. And I have to say I’m just a teensy bit proud that I’ve kept it up for so long. If for no other reason, it exists as a diary of this life I have… I’m so thankful to have documented so much of it so far. And I’m so thankful for all you tidbit readers!

Which brings me to one of my favorite parts about this blog! Getting to know YOU. On the first anniversary of Tidbit Tuesday a year ago, I asked y’all to leave some tidbits about yourself. And you sure delivered! So now, on the 100-Tuesday-mark, it only seems appropriate to give it another go. If you’re a repeat-Tuesday’er, leave us some info in the comment section! Like… What you had for breakfast, or your take on the meaning of life. As seemingly insignificant or as totally awesome as that. ;) And how would a $25 Red Mango gift card sound? (If you know anything about us by now, it’s that we LOVE us some Red Mango on a Sunday afternoon!) The reader with the most awesome/funny/interesting tidbit wins it! And we’ll announce the winner tomorrow morning right in this post!

So, we celebrated Sully’s first birthday this past weekend. Our baby dog turned one-year-old on November 13th! Thankfully, Sully shares his birthday with my sister. Otherwise, I might’ve forgotten both of them. ;) On Saturday, Dylan and I headed out to get Sully a skateboard. Yes. A skateboard. Because I somehow expected the same dog who runs after imaginary toys that I throw across the room, to jump on a skateboard and pull an ollie like no thang… The reality: Sully HATES it. When he’s not absolutely terrified of it, he’s trying to kill it with his huge head full of teeth. So much for trying to be awesome parents..

We’ve had quite a few fun little and big successes this week. One we’re pretty stoked about is being featured on the BHLDN Facebook page for Laura’s gorgeous shoes! Have I mentioned lately how totally wonderful and artsy our brides are?! And speaking of BHLDN, are you keeping tabs on their ever-changing collections of new decor and attire? I am totally in love with THIS boutonniere and THIS dress. Hmm.. I think I see a vow renewal in our future. ;)

Thanksgiving is probably my all-time favorite holiday, and I think it always has been. Growing up, my family of five only ever celebrated Thanksgiving as, well, the five of us. It wasn’t anything crazy or elaborate. Just amazing food we’d help mom with during the day. And hours spent at the table eating and talking.. Last year, as Dylan and I celebrated – just the two of us – we ordered a complete meal from Honey Baked Ham. So we didn’t have to stress about cooking. And so we could trust that what we would eat would be decently palatable. But this year? We look forward, and are thankful, to be spending it with friends. Or should we say, our Houston family. Bring on the mashed ‘tatoes and pie!! I plan on gaining at LEAST five pounds.

Song of the Week: Stutter by Maroon 5. I may be semi-embarrased by this choice, but it just feels so good, it makes me st-t-t-tuttahhh. We desperately needed some new tunes for the car, so we picked up Maroon 5’s new album on Saturday, and it’s making my LIFE. To get hooked on Stutter, check it out HERE.

With ALL of that said, I leave you with a sneak of this week’s upcoming posts! The first image is from Kelly and David’s engagement session at the Houston Zoo, and the second is from Cesilia and Israel’s beautiful wedding at the Admiral on Clear Lake. So excited to share. OH, and be sure to come back on Thursday for a post that details one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had EVER. Let’s just say, I photographed an ex-president yesterday. :)

Happy Tuesday!!

Lauren Jolly - so excited for your hundredth anniversary! hmmmm, tidbits about myself? i’m half-scottish, i give in to my kitten and feed her about 4 times a day, and up until about a year ago, i thought the phrase was “play it by year.” i still think it makes more sense….

Breanna Klontz - Horray for me i am the first to comment. FYI love stutter! I also love thanksgiving.. esp. becuase it’s the one time of year my family gets together and i get to eat “grammy rolls” (Grandma make homemade rolls = Delicious). My cousins and i used to have “grammy roll eating contests” and i am sure if you know me.. you know i WON. :) I could go on forever now that you said to write what we want, but i will say just this, one thing always on my mind, ” Is it a baby boom or what?” Problem is, the babies EVERYONE is having are so damn cute i want one.. bad idea! I told Ben to get me a puppy for christmas instead. HAHA ok i will leave on that note.. can’t wait to see more of your pics!! xoxo Bre

Breanna Klontz - Ok.. have to fix my post.. mine below was so long i was no longer the first one :) Congrats Lauren you beat me haha

Jessamyn - I’m wearing someone else’ baby’s spit-up on my sleeve… Ok – that was just gross and WAY too random…

Meghan - I coordinate meetings and appointments for my boss. One of his clients just called me asking where my boss was. I was confused since my boss was in his office with different clients. It turns out that the client on the phone, got the days mixed up for the meeting with my boss. So this poor person is sitting at a restaurant downtown waiting for my boss to show for a meeting that is happening on November 22 NOT November 15! I feel so bad for this person, because they have been waiting for an hour, but at the same time I have to admit I am laughing pretty hard right now! I had to share this tid-bit since it literally happened right before I read THIS tid-bit!!

April Islip - I love Thanksgiving, nothing like good food, good conversation, and good laughs. My dad always makes a monster meal and everyone’s favorite dish is Aunt Fannie’s Squash, even though we don’t even have an Aunt Fannie!! :)

Heidi Ann - Thanksgiving and Christmas are pretty much equal on the I’m-so-in-love-with-this-holiday scale. So I get plenty excited for Thanksgiving first (no Christmas music before then), which wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without Trivial Pursuit and black-bottom banana cream pie. And then as soon as Thanksgiving dinner is over, we crank up the Christmas music :)

Kathy - Interesting tidbit about me: On a few bizarre — and fortunately rare — occasions, I’ve been mistaken for a man. Most recently I was telling my friend about a volleyball league I’d just joined. When she wanted to know who else was on my team I listed five guys. Then she asked sincerely, “So there are no girls?” She never did figure out why I didn’t answer.

Karina Colorado - Folding warm bath towels (fresh out of the dryer) is my after work therapy. LOVE IT.
