Welcome to Tidbit Tuesday, your one-stop shop for all things Alyse. Gosh, that feels a little weird to say. :)
I got my first sunburn of the year this weekend. Nothing crazy, but it was only on the right side of my body, don’t ask me how. I have exactly 68 days to even it out and cover up my tan lines from LAST summer. For some reason I don’t think it’s normal for skin to stay tan that long..
My brother Cameron signed his life away to MIT last week. It just keeps getting more and more official!
This morning I managed to get shampoo and conditioner 2-in-1 up my nasal cavities. It was terrible, as you might imagine.
A little progress update on my 101 in 1001: This past weekend, I wore three dresses, three days in a row! (No. 18) And No. 72 (Take a class with Dylan in something fun) is well underway. We have our second dance class scheduled for tomorrow night. Perhaps we’ll dance to Hook’s tarantella. ;) Check out last Tuesday if you’re confused. :)
If we can put man on the moon and consume raw cookie dough without getting poisoned, why can’t Apple figure out a way for MacBook Pros not to give you third-degree burns whenever you touch the wrong part?
You know how up until one year of dating, you celebrate every new month you’ve been together? But then, after a year, you kinda don’t even remember? Well, Dylan reminded me that tomorrow is our 1 year and 11 month anniversary. Weird.
I graduate in 40 days, soon to be 39 days. Brings music to my ears. :)
New idea for Tidbit Tuesdays: sharing with you one photographer (per week) who inspires me. I can’t stress how important it is in this industry to follow other photogs’ work as a way to inspire and challenge you in your growth as a photographer and as a business man/woman. This week: Jeff and Erin Youngren. This husband/wife team based in San Diego is KILLER. Their images are crisp, vibrant, and emotional. And Jeff and Erin are so completely transparent in helping other photographers shape their businesses. Check them out. You won’t be sorry. :)
My goals for this week besides writing paper no. 2, and taking exam no. 2, include.. Making up my flipping mind about how to wear my hair for the wedding. I’ve been given such conflicting opinions. Some say down. And some say up. What do YOU say?
Come back on Thursday for this little guy and his parents! :) SUCH a fun shoot!!
Happy Tuesday!!
Mom - THAT is one cute kid!
Erin - Alyse, you are the cutest thing EVER! And super talented too, because I have no idea how you can get conditioner all the way up your nose… but I’d love to hear that story! HA!
Noël - He is soooo CUTE!!
Breanna - OMG what a cute little man.. an as far as your hair, haha you may hate me but i say maybe you should do half up and half down… your hair looks beautiful down and if half is up it wont get in your way.. just a thought.. xoxo
April - if you are going to be doing as much dancing at your wedding as I will be doing in mine…wear your hair up!!
jessica guzman - hmmm…maybe down for the wedding and up for the reception. add a little hair drama to peoples lives and keep them guessing what is coming next…plus then, like when you do shoots…you will have a few different hair looks;) just an idea:) but either way you wear it…or 3 ways you wear it…well, you will look gorgeous:) oh…and you could have a more dramatic up-do set of earings and another set for when its down…ok…i’m being of no help:) love you though!…and cute cute baby!!! and Dylan is sooo good for remembering! he’s the best…well, besides Gabe…but your best and my best…well, we are two lucky woman! Thank you Lord!
Maniya - Hey Roomie,
I definitely think you should wear your hair up. I think it would really compliment your dress(and plus I rarely get the chance to see your hair up). Congrats on your choice to move to Houston. It’s so far away but I guess that’s my excuse for visiting Texas in the near future:)
