After photographing approximately 70 weddings over the last three years, I can say with total understanding that each couple loves differently. Candace and Tony? They are perhaps the most different. Literally soaking in each and every moment they get to be in each other’s arms. They are silent. They wait. They close their eyes and take it all in. Now, Candace is a stunning girl, but when she smiles? Forget about it. And then starts the chain reaction… Tony’s eyes squint tightly as he grins in return. Candace and Tony’s love is something that’s floored me since the day I shot their engagement session. And I can only hope my images do it justice… Candace and Tony were married in front of the loveliest mixture of friends and family at the Houston Arboretum earlier this month.
C&T – Tell me this isn’t the end! I vote for a vow renewal ever year or so. You know… So I don’t have to stop photographing you. Thank you for your trust, your enthusiasm, for being the easiest bride and groom portraits a girl’s ever taken, and for your friendship. I hope you enjoy this look into your special day! XOXO!!
Many thanks to Lizeth for hair and the ever-amazing Taylor of Sunkissed & Made Up for makeup. You can even see her face in the image above if you look closely. :) P.S. Doesn’t Candace have your jaw on the ground?!
C’s two-piece, all-lace dress had me at hello. It couldn’t look any better on anyone else…
Tony then met us at the St. Regis Hotel for the first look! It was perfect.
We also shot a few portraits that might’ve just made it on my “favorites-ever” list. :)
After a quick drive to the Houston Arboretum, we were back to it. And looking incredible.
This shot was definitely a departure for me. But I’m liking it. A lot!
Okay, PLEASE stop being so beautiful, Candace. (But not really.)
Blooms by HEB provided the fab florals which put the final touch on this bridal party’s gorgeousness.
Ceremony time, as officiated by Tony’s brother. Love that. :)
Husband and wife. The best feeling in the world…
Back at the reception was this handmade-by-Tony cake topper (Tony’s an art teacher) on a cake by Who Made The Cake! Does any part of this caption make grammatical sense? I’m really not sure. Please bear with me.
And they danced. And danced. Held each other. And soaked it all in.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Hurtado!! And happy Thursday. :)
Taylor - oh, Alyse…. these are incredible. Candace and Tony are perfect and these pictures are too…. See you this weekend!
Kasey - Seriously LOVE that cake topper. Amazing. And beautiful photos, Alyse! Phenomenal!
