Happy Tuesday second day of Insanity, y’all. After delaying the start of my workout regimen for a week, I finally bit the bullet and power jumped and jacked my way through my fit test. It was pretty humiliating… This girl can’t do a real push-up to SAVE her LIFE. But I did manage to produce TWO drops of sweat! (I never sweat.) So I decided to feel pretty good about that. :) I had to sit still for about 30 minutes afterward to ensure I didn’t vomit, but I believe it was worth it. I want to look back on yesterday in 60 days and think, “DAAANG, girl. You did it.”
I’ve been writing this MOH speech since the first day Brent was a glimmer in Lorae’s eye. You’d think after hearing 150 toasts, it’d come a little more easily. ;) But I have TWELVE days to tie all these loose ends together! These days leading up to this CO trip have been pretty intense, but oh so motivating. It’s my goal to finish all the work I possibly can, so I can be as unplugged and on top of my matronly duties as possible. Time to take off the photographer hat, and put on the rug-cutting, toast-giving, cake-stuffing MOH hat!! :)
Hey, guess what?! I found out I have allergies! Lest you believe I’m totally excited about it, let me tell you… I’m just mildly excited about it. You see, if I feel like crap but know it’s just due to allergies, I can trick my brain into believing I’m not truly “sick.” And trust me, I can make any appendage on my body feel like it’s falling off if I think about it long enough. So this allergy thing actually has a pretty sweet placebo affect!
Song of the Week: Beautiful Things by Gungor. A fellow wedding guest and myself will be singing this song during communion at my sister’s wedding… No matter how many times I listen to it in order to memorize my part, I cannot tire of this song. I am hoping and praying I’ll be able to make it through without sobbing. This also means there is NO crying allowed during ANY part of the ceremony… (A ridiculous expectation if you know me well.) Unless guests want to hear my nasals singing, “You make me dew. Youuu are maaaking me dew.”
