Once you’re out of school forever, you tend to forget spring break exists. Or that hundreds of bathing-suit-clad kids could be galavanting all throughout the park on a Wednesday afternoon. (Just bear with me… I promise I’m going somewhere with this!) When I arrived at Discovery Green earlier this week for Christina and Hart’s e-session, I had a mild panic attack. I had never seen SO many people there at once in all my years of shooting there. I was determined to make things work, and am happy to say that being forced to view the grounds in a whole new way led to some of my favorite DG pics ever! School kids ain’t got nothin’ on Christina, Hart, and me. ;)
C&H first met during their time at UT Austin. Christina’s sorority and Hart’s frat would often invite each other to various social events. But when Hart (a native Austinite) paid a visit to Houston (Christina’s home turf) to visit a mutual friend, things took a turn. Although he meant to stay for only a weekend, that weekend turned into a week… And Christina has a sneaky suspicion she had something to do with his decision. :) Their first date turned into six YEARS of dates. And now they’re set to marry this June! When Dylan and I will be capturing their I-do’s.
Thank you, you two! I hope you had as much fun with me as I had with you. :) Here are just a few of my very favorite images from your beautiful session on Wednesday. Hope you enjoy them! XOXO!!
This kind of light is my absolute FAVORITE light to shoot in. So happy we spotted it!
This grassy stuff (I could totally be a botanist with all my knowledge of plant names….) is usually around six-feet-tall. Being freshly-cut gave us a whole new angle. I especially love the playful emotion in this shot!
Okay, seriously. Hart is a perfect combination of my brother Cameron and my brother-in-law Brent. His face, height, personality, sense of humor… It’s pure ridiculousness. In a good way, of course!
Mmm. These two!! So totally sweet with each other. I’m SO excited for their wedding images!
A quick wardrobe change got things lookin’ fancy…
Not only is Christina gorgeous. But her laugh is the most adorablest (yes!) thing ever. I think Hart agrees.
Hart did a pretty good job with that bling…
My two absolute faves of C!
Apart from spring break, there was also some sort of formal dinner event held on the lawn in front of The Grove. Thankfully, security let us sneak through so we could use the stairs for a few final shots. :)
Happy Friday, friends!!
