You know that feeling you wake up with the day after Christmas? The “I can’t believe it’s over” let down? I have that. I have that AND it’s not even the 25th yet… I guess that goes to show how good Half-Christmas with Dylan and our baby dog really was. I have to keep reminding myself that normal people haven’t even celebrated yet! We are super excited to spend the holidays with our families SO soon. :) The festivities are just beginning!!
Today is a day off – post blogging and my weekly trip to the post office of course. I am going to wear real clothes. Do my hair and makeup. Paint my nails. And then do nothing. Except maybe cook up a gourmet meal. Or watch a movie. Or maybe just take a VERY long nap… What is YOUR favorite way to spend a day off? I’m all ears.
Just four days ago, we had our six-month house-iversary! It’s so strange to realize we’ve been here for half a year already. It feels much shorter and much longer at the same time. We still turn to each other at random times and say, “I love our house.” Last week, Dylan brought me to near-tears, saying how he imagines kids running around our living room on Christmas morning. Right here. In our first real home. And who knows – by THEN, I will have probably posted pictures of the place. (I’ve decided to work on one room at a time, and reveal each as they are finished. First up will be our bedroom. Which I’m committed to completing by this time next month!)
Song of the Week: O Come O Come Emmanuel by The Wilderness of Manitoba. This song has always been an absolute favorite of mine. This season, I’m seeing as if for the first time, how important it is to prepare my heart for the birth of Jesus. So I can GET it. So I can be changed by it. Definitely give my new fave version a listen!
This week, I get to share with you my last session of 2012 – shot just yesterday! Until tomorrow, here is a sneak peek of Lauren and Chris. They are, hands-down, two of the nicest people I’ve ever met…
Happy Tuesday!!
Kristin - Can’t wait to see pictures of the house!
Alexa - I know what you mean about house-iversaries! Caleb and I have been in ours a little over a week and we are already celebrating! And I have come to terms with the fact that it will take about a year for us to get pictures up of every room HAHA
I am so excited to see more pics of y’all’s house:)
