Today is a veeery special day. Our baby dog turns TWO!! And lest I tick anyone off, it’s also my sister’s birthday, which makes November the 13th doubly special! We plan to celebrate by strapping a homemade party hat on Sully’s wrinkly little head, letting him pick out whatever toy he wants at PetSmart, and buying a mini Carvel ice cream cake that only I can eat. ;) I’m pretty sure Sully knows what’s up too. Especially since I woke him up extra early with a “Happy Birthday” song and extra food in his bowl. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MANNY!! <3
If this blog isn’t any indication of my oft-ridiculous (read: totally and hilariously right-on) thought processes, then just ask Dylan to stay true to his word. And I quote, “Baby, I’ve REALLY got to start a Twitter account for all the things you say…” I was all, “FINE! DO IT.” And he was all smirky and mysterious. World, you might want to prep yo’self. I don’t know how serious this guy is. I also don’t know if I should be more funny or LESS funny. ;)
Oh my GOODNESS. How could I not have told you yet?! I READ A BOOK. In my determination to keep future Sundays as restful as possible, I’ve decided to try reading. Go figure – it was pretty relaxing! So here’s a question you never thought I’d ask… What’s your favorite book? I think I’m more into practical/self-motivating stuff than fiction. Like books on business or faith. But who knows? Maybe you can sway me!
Song of the Week: The Everlasting God by Church on the Move. Before you think you’ve already heard this song, let me assure you – in the world of worship music are a billion songs that go by the exact same name. THIS Everlasting God is by far the most incredible. If you want to be encouraged beyond belief, you need to listen. It is for sure in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. And I absolutely cannot get it out of my head today!
This week? We’ll get a sneak peek of Kelly and David’s big day at one of my favorite venues ever, as well as an upcoming engagement session. I’m also working on all sorts of fun posts for the off-season! But until then…
Happy Tuesday, friends!!
Martha - 1) Happy Birthday Sully!!!!! How exciting! I can’t believe he’s only TWO!!! Still, I suppose that makes him a teenager (14 in human years! Oh my…)
2) Book-reading is an excellent way to pass a restful Sunday! Did you try The Help yet? It was my summer read last year, and it was uh-mazing!!
