If you’ve noticed my quietness on social media thus far this week, it’s because I’m doing real life while Dylan’s family is in town. Basically? I’m doing things I’m otherwise ridiculously bad at making time for. :) On Sunday, we ate and shopped. And on Monday, we zoo’d and Dippin’ Dotted. Today we will head to NASA and Dippin’ Dot some more. (Oh come on, you know that’s why I’m going…) At the end of the week, we’ll head to the beach! Something we haven’t done in all the 2.5 years we’ve lived here. I’m positive the water will be too cold for swimming (and sand in strange places is almost never fun) – but I’m stoked to just lay there. And do NOTHING.
Sully has just been introduced to his grandparents and aunt/uncle. Now, this may be presumptuous, but I think they’re starting to understand why I love him so much. People – this dog? He licks inanimate objects. He wiggles his whole back end since he barely has a tail. Sure, he’s incontinent when he gets over-excited. But he looks DANG cute in a bandana, has the softest little head imaginable, and is basically the best snorty friend ever.
Insanity update! Rather than be all secret about it, I figured I’d fess up. After completing the first month of Insanity followed by recovery week, I’ve decided to redo the first month rather than go on to the second month. It will still be a 60-day program, but without killing myself and my knees with 30 days of “max” interval training. Plus, I want this to be less about proving to myself that I can finish this exact workout regimen, and more about proving to myself that I can maintain a healthy lifestyle no matter how many high-knees I’m doing on a daily basis. So there. That’s my plan. I will not feel guilty about it. That’s OKAY. Right? (Tell me it’s okay.)
Song of the Week: Old Coats by Barnaby Bright. This is one of the most amazing songs I’ve ever loved. Written and flawlessly performed by Nathan and Becky Bliss of Barnaby Bright. You can even score a free download right HERE! Do it. Because your iTunes play-count for this baby could end up at 118. Like mine. :)
This week I’ll be sharing a sweet family session and the wedding of two very beautiful people. I’m EXCITED! But first, here’s a sneak of what’s coming tomorrow! Meet little Kenzie and her parents Kendra and Gary…
Happy Tuesday!!
Jessamyn - It’s OK!!! No guilt!! ;)
