Sometimes you just need a break. Some time to breathe. (To nap on the couch, take more pictures of your dog than you ever thought possible, and eat Chex. Nonstop.) I didn’t know I was going on a blogging hiatus, but there it came and went. And now, I’m back! We are back in our favorite state after my sister’s beautiful wedding in Colorado, and now that our easy-peasy September is over, we are back to the daily grind and weekly Tidbits. :)
Within the next two weeks I *hope* to share some pictures of our living room! Our new couch arrived shortly before leaving TX and it is everything we hoped it would be. Which includes being low enough to the ground that NO dog toy can roll underneath, and large enough so I can smother Dylan with hugs without falling off. It was the one thing I have been waiting for in order to fully deck out our living space. And now that Dylan’s family is visiting in a couple weeks, I have all the motivation I need to pull it together! Keep me accountable, y’all!
There I was… Standing in the paint aisle of Michael’s (with an urge to adorn everything I own in Martha Stewart’s rose gold metallic paint) when I heard a voice I KNEW. It was Bill. Bill from The Little Couple? As I turned my head, I caught the quickest glimpse of Jen as she walked by. All three feet of her. (She is JUST as short as she is on television.) Of course I was tempted to follow them around. But being a 5’9″-er hiding behind glue stick displays while stalking midgets wouldn’t be my proudest moment. Instead, I listened to Jen’s cute little laugh travel throughout the store. It took 2.5 years. But I FINALLY saw The Little Couple in Houston!! :)
Song of the Week: Babel by Mumford and Sons. I mean, duh. We as M&S fans have waited what feels like decades for a new album to be released, and now it’s HEEERE. My favorite song thus far is the very first – the namesake of the entire collection. If you haven’t already, you can listen to the whole of it on Spotify!
This week I get to share a precious little family with you all. It will be the third time I’ve photographed members of the Ainsworth family. And I have to say, I love being passed around from Kata and Drew to Becca and Chris to Blair, Jeff and Logan. :) Here’s a quick peek until later this week… Are they not beautiful??
Happy Tuesday!!
