Tidbit Tuesday #139

We’ve officially lived in our new home for 71 days. And there are still boxes in the living room, the hallway, and just about every room of the house… Someone tell me I’m still normal. That we will get settled eventually? But here’s the good news! September is my MONTH, y’all. We get my new office furniture and our new couch within the next couple weeks. Star Furniture and GOD willing! So DEFINITELY be on the lookout for some house-related posts in the near future. Starting with my fab office space where I hope to start meeting clients!

Let’s talk about my favorite place in the entire world. Besides just about any soft-serve ice cream joint in the country. I’m talking Bar Harbor, ME!! If you’ve ever visited, then you know I’m not exaggerating. It is the most amazing place on earth. For three consecutive summers, MANY years ago, my family spent a week in a house on Mount Desert Island. We went on whale watches, cooked lobstah in the kitchen, shared toothbrushes unintentionally, and just spent all sorts of time together. It has been an absolute DREAM of ours to go back some day. And we’ve just booked the house! All EIGHT of us (significant others included now!) will be spending a portion of next August on the best family vacation ever. The only stupid part is the waiting… But, I’ll deal. ;)

Three years ago this month, I shot my first wedding. Since then, I’ve shot 66. SIXTY-FREAKING-SIX. This is almost as crazy a thought as realizing that today is my 139th Tidbit Tuesday post… I CANNOT thank you all enough for your support as I continue to do what I love. Especially my husband. Who turned to me the other day as the first one to remind me. “I’m proud of you,” he said with the sweetest smile. And thus cued the happy tears.

Song of the Week: Home by Phillip Phillips. I cannot tell a lie. I did NOT want this guy to win Idol. I describe his win as one of the biggest travesties in American history. BUT! This song has been working hard to convert me. It’s just… So… Mumfordy. I’ve got to give you credit, Mr. Two First Names. You’ve won me over!

And now for a sneak of one of my favorite weddings to DATE! This past weekend, Dylan and I spent a few days out in Jacksonville, TX – documenting the union of our clients and friends Jenny and Chris. It was insane. In a beautiful, GORGEOUS way. Their day will be blogged in full NEXT week, but for now… :)

Happy Tuesday!!
