I miss wedding planning. There. I said it. Thankfully being a wedding photographer lets me live vicariously through my brides. But as much as Sarah indulged me in my love for knowing all about the fun little details, this wedding surpassed anything I expected. It was one part gorgeous dress for a gorgeous bride. One part handsome groom. Two parts gray to one part yellow. And ten parts love, joy, happiness, and paaartaaay. All my love and appreciation to Sarah and Adam, for having us as a part of this most beautiful day in their new life together. We hope you enjoy this sneak peek! XOXO!! :)
Sarah’s family rented out the Stern Estate for a little pre-wedding day luxury, and I was left breathless at every turn. I could have shot there all day long.I wouldn’t be surprised if Oleg Cassini created Sarah’s dress JUST for her. Knapp Flower Shop did an equally spot-on job with the floral.Huge thanks to my trusty sidekick for this wedding, Amber Jacoby. The following shot is all her and I am in LOVE with it.Couldn’t have asked for better light. Or a more elegant bride.Whenever a bridal party dresses in gray, I get all warm and fuzzy inside. Best color palette EVER. And I’m not just saying that because that’s what MY wedding looked like. :) For all you girls out there wondering, their jewelry came from Ann Taylor Loft and it was the perfect icing on the cake.Amber’s shot! Isn’t Sarah’s ring ridiculously swoon-inducing?Meet the bride and her girls. Looking HOTT.
Sarah and Adam got married at St. Joseph’s Church in Galveston. I will be referring all future Galveston brides to this exact church. It was THAT awesome.
Absolutely smitten with the ceremony programs.Remember Adam? Here he is waiting for his bride. :) A’s shot.Sarah, you are stunning on a whole new level. Would you LOOK at yourself? I mean, really…Capturing moments like these is what makes me all blubbery when culling images afterward. :)Adam, it’s very safe to say your new family loves you. A bear hug’s worth.Amber’s capture. :)Husband and wife. BAM.A horse and buggy awaited the bride and groom outside, to buggy them along to their reception. Buggy can be a verb right? The composition is a little different than how I normally shoot, but this image just makes me happy in so many ways.Amber’s shots. Sarah is the epitome of Hollywood glam in these. Am I right? We then tucked our couple away for a bit, to shoot some portraits in some b-e-a-utiful pre-sunset light.
Someday, I want dimples like Sarah. She is adorable and pretty and gorgeous all wrapped up into one. Adopreteous. Yeah…Go Amber! Love this moment.Oh how I love me some overcast skies and one amazing couple.Heading back to the reception venue…Galveston’s Garten Verein. But first, a short story. I saw what I believed to be the perfect ring shot bush. ;) I set up the shot, but was forced to stop dead in my tracks by a bee which landed RIGHT next to me. Like, riiight next to me. I then nominated Amber, who ain’t afraid of no bees, to take the shot. And she captured my vision perfectly. :)Beautiful cake by Kelly Neito. And I love it when brides take a different approach to reception detail and decor. Each table had a vintage oil lamp at its center. The first dance. :)And the bride, in the arms of her parents. :’) Those are happy tears.
