When I met them for the first time, it was like sitting down with two friends I’d had for a lifetime, or at the very least, as long as we’d been in Houston. I knew Michelle from her emails, and the cupcake bribery she used to convince me to shoot her wedding. But the convincing was unnecessary. After meeting her groom J’Max, (Yes, that’s his real name.. He’s just THAT cool.) I knew this was a day I just HAD to be a part of. For their love that’s so palpable. And for the importance they so highly place on photography for their big day. I left that meeting that much more thankful for my job. And new friends.
M & J – You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for your trust. Your friendship. And, yes, your cupcakes. We hope you enjoy your new images. And I can’t wait for the craaazy celebration that will be your wedding day! XOXO!! Alyse & Dylan.
Michelle & J’Max are having a New Year’s Eve wedding. Hence, the emphasis on clocks and time in their engagement shoot. Love it! :)Doesn’t J’Max look like a rugby player? That’s because he is. But he’s under strict instruction from Michelle to not get hurt before the big day. ;)They also wanted to incorporate some beautifully framed images of their grandparents. Michelle emailed me a couple weeks ago to tell me her grandfather had passed and she wanted to honor his memory with his picture. Loved it. Love this.Don’t they just look like they belong together? I thought so too. :)
And a couple more props! I tell you, these two brought a truck load. Literally.Couldn’t have asked for better light.
Lurve the left image more than I can say.Hott stuff, Michelle. ;)And handmade by Michelle herself… A mustache and lips! And then for a little change of scenery, we shot a bit around Louisiana St. (AKA, my hood). This shot is Dylan’s. And it has stolen my heart. Bus and all.And how ridiculously glamorous is this bride-to-be? With a sassy half-turn and windblown hair, she killed it!
Happy Thursday! :)
