Tidbit Tuesday #54

Apologies in advance for the less-than-lengthy Tuesday today. We’ve just arrived in Syracuse, NY and are SO excited to be home with our Morrissey family!

So.. Ever since my brother Cameron has been in my life (for the past 18 years) I’ve pretty much wanted to be his BFF. Cam, on the other hand, changes who his favorite sister is about every week. This past week, I was his best friend for 48 hours. Then Lorae came home from touring Eastern Europe, as if that was a big deal or something. ;) Guess what happened then? I’ll get him back, Rae. I’ll get him back!

Photographers and relatives of photographers! Want to know the best stocking stuffer EVER? (Besides smoked oysters that make your own husband avoid you like the plague after eating them?) The PhotoJoJo camera lens mug! Props to mom and dad for that one! :)

Waking up to snow this past Thursday morning was both completely wonderful and downright shockingly awful. It’s true.. As much as I love New England, I think Texas’ weather suits my taste much more nicely. :)

I consider myself a pro at a few things in this life. Eating ice cream. Impersonating Jim Carrey impersonating The Twilight Zone. And staying up past the wee hours of the morning, using all my sweet detective skills to locate and reconnect with long-lost second grade friends and my most beloved third grade teacher. Does that sound creepy? I promise I’m not. I just love social media. ;) How on earth did we ever keep in touch with people before Facebook?!

Speaking of social media, you may or may not have seen A Social Network Christmas circulating all over Facebook and Youtube this past week. It may just sound cute or silly, but it’s honestly one of the most absolutely stirring depictions of what Joseph and Mary endured in their journey to Bethlehem. Watch it! :)

I came home this past week to see not five, not six, but seven stockings hanging from our mantle place. That’s right, ya’ll, Sully got his own stocking before even gracing our presence. Add a chew toy, treats, and a book by the Dog Whisperer, which Dylan expects me to read by the time we get him next month (yeah, right..), and you have the sweetest, wrinkliest, furriest Christmas ever. :)

Song of the Week: Airplanes by The Local Natives. I know I’ve blogged about this band before, but seriously, who can get enough? The Local Natives had me with the first five seconds of this song. And the music video is a mix of pure brilliance and crazy.

Until Thursday, I’ll leave you with a tiny peek of little miss Abby. This family is absolutely precious!!

Happy Tuesday! :)
